Rockport Police/Fire: Gas leak report draws police, Grid

ROCKPORT — Police and firefighters responded to a report of a potential gas leak on Long Beach at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

Police said an assessor working on Long Beach reported the strange smell. National Grid was notified about the leak and tended to the scene.

On Tuesday morning at 9:53, police assisted a Rockport resident locked out of a car outside of the Rockport transfer station.

A male Marmion Way resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital at 4:15 Monday, while, at 2:30 p.m. Monday, a female resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital after an apparent fall at Halibut Point State Park.
