---- — Due to a shipping issue and the delayed arrival of vaccine, a flu clinic hosted by the Gloucester Health Department and scheduled for today at Gloucester’s Addison Gilbert Hospital has been canceled.

The cancellation means that the Gloucester Health Department’s next free flu vaccination clinics will be Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m., again at Addison Gilbert Hospital.

There will, however, be a public free walk-in flu vaccine clinic on Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon at Beverly Hospital, with services open to all area residents ages 18-64.

Officials there indicated Friday that a person need not be a Beverly Hospital or Lahey Health patient to receive the vaccine. Beverly Hospital and Gloucester’s Addison Gilbert Hospital are both part of the newly merged Lahey Health System, but due to limited supplies, officials will be limited to administering 200 shots.
