ESSEX — A New Hampshire man is facing charges of a second offense for driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped and arrested by Essex police Monday at 1:28 a.m.
Matthew Bernier, 25, of 194 Exeter Road in Epping, N.H., was stopped at Western Avenue and Story Street after police observed him traveling down Western Avenue and nearly hitting a marked police cruiser when he crossed into the opposite lane.
A criminal complaint is being issued to a Lynn resident after he was stopped by Essex police.
Police stopped Humberto Hernandez, 21, of Hollingsworth Street of Lynn at 7 a.m. Tuesday on Martin Street. After he was stopped, police realized Hernandez did not have a driver’s license. His vehicle was towed as a result.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, residents reported horses that had gotten loose on Forrest Avenue. Police were able to round up the horses and reunite them with their owner.
On Monday at 2:35 p.m., police assisted a motorist who was driving in the breakdown lane on John Wise Avenue.
On Monday at 7:32 p.m., an Eastern Avenue resident was transported to Beverly Hospital.
