---- — MANCHESTER — Police responded after a Gloucester woman called in a complaint regarding a local service station Friday at 9:30 a.m.

Police said the verbal dispute began when a Gloucester woman alleged that Gas By the Sea, on Summer Street in Manchester, had charged her incorrectly for the amount of gas she received.

Police restored the peace and gave the woman some advice on how to proceed with her complaint.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, a motorist was pulled over on Route 128 northbound when an officer noticed pieces of a tire were falling off. Police determined, however, that the motorist’s vehicle was safe for travel.
