Essex Police/Fire

ESSEX — Police responded along with the Fire Department’s Rescue Squad at 12:48 p.m. on Thursday to transport a male Story Street resident to Beverly Hospital.

Another medical call came in around 9 p.m. Thursday night, but in that case, a motorist on Eastern Avenue refused medical transport. The driver was simply stopped on the side of the road, but was OK, police said.
