---- — ESSEX — Two burglar alarms sounded Thursday.

The first sounded at 11:10 a.m. on Choate Street, the second happening at 1:40 p.m. on Spring Street. Both proved to be false alerts.

Police suspected the alarms were set off by power returning to parts of town following an outage.

Just before 2 p.m. Thursday, reports came in of a large tree limb falling on a Centennial Grove Road home. The roof of the building was damaged and the Department of Public Works was notified.

Road rage was reported Thursday on John Wise Avenue at 5:17 p.m. Police said it was an ongoing incident and the two people were heading into Ipswich. The Ipswich Police Department was notified.
