Rockport Police/fire: Crews quell forest fire off Hodgkins Road

ROCKPORT — Rockport crews responded to a forest fire off Hodgkins Road at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

But Rockport’s Forest Fire Warden, Michael Frontierro, said a larger fire was averted as crews extinguished the blaze quickly.

Police responded to a single-car accident after a vehicle went off Glenmere Road Sunday at 12:30 p.m. There were no injuries, but the car was towed. from the scene

Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide detector on Clark Avenue at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, but responders found there were no positive readings at the home and the alarm had gone off in error.

Sunday, at 10:40 p.m. a security alarm was sounded on Phillips Avenue, but police also found that building secure when they arrived.

Numerous residents were transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in the past few days.

At 11 a.m. on Friday, a female South Street resident was transported to the hospital.

Saturday, a male Main Street resident was taken to AGH at 6 p.m., with a male Holbrook Court resident being transported at 9:15 p.m.

Sunday at 12:26 p.m. a female Holbrook Court resident was transported to the hospital, and Monday morning, a female Jerdens Lane resident was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital at 8:45.
