Rockport Police/Fire: Community House is site of two false alarms

ROCKPORT — The Community House was the scene of two alarm responses within a span of 24 hours.

At 12:43 p.m. Thursday and again at 7:31 a.m. Friday, alarms summoned police to the restored building, which houses the town's Senior Center and other programs. One of the alarms was a panic alarm, police said, while the other alarm was unspecified.

Both, however, proved be false, police said. No cause for the malfunction was given.
