Gloucester Police/Fire: Woman in chase after crash gets continuance

A charge of resisting arrest brought against Nastashia Ming was continued without a finding Monday in Gloucester District Court.

Ming, 27, of no known address also faced charges of driving without a license or registration.

While Ming admitted to sufficient facts regarding the resisting arrest charge, Judge Joseph Jennings continued it without a finding until August. He dismissed the unlicensed driving charge pending Ming's payment of $100 in court costs. He also deemed her not responsible for the lack of registration.

Police arrested Ming last month after a motor vehicle accident in Flanagan Square. According to police, she fled from officers on foot when the license she gave them didn't check out.

When police asked Ming for a driver's license, she gave them a Florida license, but police reports indicate that the license number didn't return her name or address according to Registry of Motor Vehicles records. Offices also found that Michigan had a warrant for Ming's arrest.

When police tried to arrest her for unlicensed operation, Ming took off running, and one officer, the report indicated, slipped on a manhole, fell and injured himself.

A second officer had to force Ming to the ground to arrest her.

Robert Frazier, 32, whose address was listed as the Action Inc. shelter on Main Street, pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct in Gloucester District Court on Monday. But Judge Jennings dismissed an assault and battery brought against Frazier because of a failure to prosecute.

Police arrested Frazier in Burnham's Field last month as he was fighting with another man. Both, according to police reports, were intoxicated.

Frazier pleaded guilty to a charge of trespassing as well. Jennings sentenced him to 30 days in jail, which was deemed as already served.

Police arrested him last February behind Linsky's Service Station on Maplewood Avenue. Officers found him hiding in an auto bay at the garage.

A Gloucester teen was placed on six months pre-trail probation Monday on a charge of assault and battery.

Andrew Peneseau, 17, of 11 Chapel St., appeared in court Monday and Jennings placed him on pre-trial probation until Aug. 13.

Police arrested Peneseau last July after he was allegedly found choking his mother during an argument over a cable bill.
