MANCHESTER — A Gloucester man faces driving and drug charges after being found asleep in his car.
Jesse Grisson, 32, of Essex Avenue in Gloucester was arrested Saturday around 6:30 p.m. after an employee of Crosby’s Market on Summer Street reported seeing a man asleep in his car.
Grisson is facing charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and possession of a class A substance, heroin.
Police said Grissom was bailed out and was to appear in Salem District Court.
Sunday around 1:45 a.m., police received reports of fireworks going off in the area of Proctor Street. Officers responded but could not find anything when they arrived.
A group of youths on Singing Beach who were jumping off some nearby rocks Sunday around 3 p.m. attracted police attention. Police told the youths to stay off of the rocks.
On Singing Beach just past 6 p.m. Sunday, the animal control officer responded to an injured bird.
