Gloucester Police/Fire: Fugitive found at Fitz Henry Lane property

Gloucester Police/Fire

A man found sleeping at the Fitz Hugh Lane House property was arrested Wednesday on a fugitive from justice warrant.

Police arrested Jonathan D. Twomey, a 25-year-old man who lists his residence as the Action Inc. shelter on the warrant after finding him and two other people sleeping on the Fitz Hugh Lane House property off Harbor Loop on Wednesday about 12:42 a.m.

Twomey is wanted on a warrant out of Maine’s Penobscot County for committing larceny and theft.

Police issued a citation to a driver for parking in front of the police station in a spot for citizens reporting crime Tuesday about 11:15 a.m. Police said the owner had been warned “repeatedly” that those spots are for citizens reporting crime and has been ticketed for parking there before.
