Essex Police/Fire: Essex man facing license charge


ESSEX — Police said a motorcyclist was stopped behind the police station on Martin Street on Tuesday just after 11:30 a.m.

Police said officers are issuing a criminal complaint against Timothy Hunt of Forest Avenue for driving without a valid license.

A restaurant employee walked into the police station Tuesday just before 4 p.m. to report two fraudulent checks.

Police said they are unsure of the exact amount of money involved; one of the checks was already cleared, and the other is being investigated.
