Rockport Police/Fire: Man reports theft from open car

ROCKPORT — A Story Street man said a backpack was taken from his car Sunday at 4:42 p.m.

The man conceded to police that he had left the car doors unlocked. Police have no suspects.

A Granite Street resident called to report his car had been rifled through Sunday at 3:15 p.m. When police arrived, they found the car locked, with no signs of forced entry.

Police responded to a car crash on Broadway on Saturday at 5:58 p.m. Police said one driver was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester. No further information was available.

Rockport Ambulance transported a Bradley Wharf resident to Addison Gilbert Hospital on Sunday at 6:20 p.m.

Officers responded to a burglar alarm at 1 a.m. Saturday; the alarm was set off by accident.

Rockport Ambulance transported a Pleasant Street woman to Addison Gilbert Hospital at 9:27 a.m. Monday.
