Police received two calls about scooters within 24 hours, but it was unclear yesterday whether the calls were connected.
Early Friday, at 2:23 a.m., a woman told police that she had seen kids hiding a scooter behind a wall at 334 Washington St.
Police found the scooter and placed it in the station garage.
Later in the day, shortly after noon, a Veterans Way resident reported that her scooter had been stolen from her residence overnight. Police are investigating.
Officers dispersed a group of kids camping on a beach near 11 Sandy Way on Friday at 2:50 p.m. The group left without incident.
A Sleepy Hollow resident called police at 5:49 Friday morning to report a group of kids fighting on the beach. Police responded and dispersed the group.
Police received a report of people getting ready to fight on Prospect Street on Thursday at 5:27 p.m. Police didn't find anyone fighting in the area.
Police responded to the Action Inc. shelter at 370 Main St. on Thursday at 6:07 p.m. after the shelter staff told a guest that he could not return for the evening. He left without incident.
Paramedics transported a Wheeler Street resident to Addison Gilbert Hospital on Thursday at 4:10 p.m.
Police received a report of a man saying he was going to commit suicide in an Elwell Street residence Thursday at 11:07 p.m. Paramedics transported the man to Addison Gilbert Hospital for evaluation.
