Rockport Police/Fire: Burning smell draws police response

Rockport Police/Fire:

ROCKPORT — Police responded to a call from a resident reporting a smell of burning rubber in the area of Granite Street Monday at 7:38 p.m.

Officers found that the smell was likely due to a portion of telephone pole being burned in a controlled setting in a backyard nearby.
