Rockport Police/Fire: Granite Street man faces domestic charge

Rockport Police/Fire

ROCKPORT — Town police arrested a Granite Street man on a charge of domestic assault and battery Tuesday shortly after 9 p.m.

Police said they received a caller reporting an alleged domestic assault, and Francis Abram, 39, is now facing charges of domestic assault and battery. Police said the reported victim did not require transport to a hospital.

Wednesday around 2 a.m., police responded to a call regarding an MBTA commuter rail passenger who refused to get off the train. Police said the man may have simply stayed near the train station until the next train left in the morning.
