Gloucester Police/Fire: Attempted car break reported at O'Maley

Gloucester Police/Fire

A Gloucester man told police someone had attempted to break into his vehicle, which he had left at the O’Maley Middle School overnight Tuesday while he was working.

The paint and window gasket around the top of the door frame was chipped, and it appeared that someone had tried to pry the door open, the vehicle owner told police in the report.

Police arrested Michael T. McGrath-Dyer, a 22-year-old homeless man, on three outstanding warrants Wednesday about 2:45 p.m. Police did not note the charges on the initial warrants.

Police also arrested William P. Paige, a 44-year-old homeless Gloucester man, on Prospect Street, on Wednesday about 2:51 p.m. after he violated the terms of a restraining order.
