Louis "Lou" Perry was crowned Fiesta Friday Greasy Pole champ with a fourth-round victory on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Pavilion Beach. After very little drama through the first three rounds, Perry, who is a four-year veteran of walking the Greasy Pole, almost casually conquered the 40-foot walk early in the fourth round. Perry did not slip or slow down at all on his final walk.
