Arie Guldemond, 95


East China, MI — Mr. Arie Guldemond, age 95, a resident of East China, Michigan, passed away on September 4. He was born May 26, 1918 in Lisse, The Netherlands to the late Jan Jacob and Elizabeth C. Theodora (nee Dijkman) Guldemond.

On May 24, 1941 in Grosse Pointe, MI he was united in marriage to the former Ann DeGroot. Together they celebrated their 71st Wedding Anniversary.

Mr. Guldemond owned and operated United Bulb located in Chesterfield, MI for over 70 years. United Bulb is a grower and distributor of bulbs, nursery stock and cut flowers.

Mr. Guldemond was a long time member of the Mount Clemens Kiwanis Club. Besides his community activities, he served as past president for First National Bank in Mount Clemens now known as Fifth Third Bank. He also served on the First National Bank Board of Directors. Among his many interests he enjoyed boating on Lake Saint Clair.

He is survived by his wife Ann; his children, Dr. Marny Williams, husband Michael Kelley, Robert Guldemond, wife Ann, Dr.Ted Guldemond, wife Charlotte, and Dr,.Timothy Guldemond, wife Robin. In addition to his children he is survived by his five grandchildren, Bradley, Christina, Alexander, Lea and Ariana and one great-granddaughter, Audrina.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, at 10 a.m. in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, MI with the Rev. Dr. Roxie Davis, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Mount Clemens officiating. Burial will be at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
