Manchester by the Sea — Marjorie A. French, died peacefully on September 4, 2013, her 79th birthday, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Margie was the devoted daughter of the late Mae and Kenneth French. She was born and raised in Winthrop, Mass., and had resided in Manchester By The Sea for over 50 years. She was a budget analyst for the National Marine Fisheries Service until her retirement. Margie courageously faced her diagnosis of ALS, with her cat, Coco, as her constant and loving companion.
Margie will be remembered for her great love of animals, watching her beloved Red Sox, driving with the top down in a convertible, and soaking up the sun in her youth on Winthrop Beach and in her later years, at White Beach in Manchester.
Margie will be greatly missed by her brother, Kenneth and sister-in-law, Betty French, of Manchester; her niece, Lisa Bouchard; niece, Amy Larsen and her husband, Slim Larsen, all of Rockport; nephew, William French and his wife, Debbie, of Essex; and grandnieces and grandnephews, Ali and Lizzie Bouchard, Aubrey, Samantha and Charlie Larsen, and Lydia and Hillary French, and the many birds she fed daily.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held graveside, at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Pine St., Manchester by the Sea, Monday, September 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
