Port Charlotte, Fla. — Jeanne Allison Tognazzi Murphey of N. Ft. Myers, Fla., born on February 24, 1930, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2013. A native of Gloucester.
Jeanne graduated from Gloucester High School in 1948. While residing in Cottekill, N.Y., she worked as a buyer in a major department store in Kingston, N.Y. After moving to N. Ft. Myers in 1970, Jeanne went to hairdressing school and bought and operated "The Magic Touch" beauty salon until she retired in 1990. But she will be best remembered for her artwork; painting and sculpting.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Murphey (1986), and survived by her loving daughter, Janine White and son-in-law, Ernie White. Survived by grandchildren, Marne Coover and Clayton White and great-grandson's, Brandon Coover and Caleb White. Jeanne is also survived by her sister, Janice Gadbois and brother-in-law, Richard Gadbois of Port Charlotte, Fla. and nieces, Clora Hamilton and Karen Schooler and nephew, Richard Gadbois.
