Gloucester, MA — Nancy K. (Palmisano) Parisi, 91, of Gloucester, wife of the late Joseph P. Parisi, for nearly 50 years, passed away on Saturday morning, April 6, 2013, at Beverly Hospital with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Gloucester on July 8, 1921, daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa (D’Antonio) Palmisano.
Nancy was educated in the Gloucester School System. She was employed at Seafood Kitchens (Seacrest) for a short while and then moved on to Mighty Mac Jackets as a stitcher for over 36 years before retiring.
Nancy enjoyed being around family and friends, reading, playing cards, talking on the phone, and was a great baseball and football fan. GHS Football Friday nights were a treat for her.
She was a wonderful wife and mother who did not judge people and took her joy in life when she could find it. Her motto for longevity in life was to, "go with the flow."
She was a member of the Madonna Del Rosario Society, the Mother of Grace Club, and the Seafood Retirees. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Philip L. Parisi and his wife, Carole, of Rockport, and Grace Ann Trainor and her husband, Michael, of Wales, Maine; grandchildren, Jonelle Beaton and her husband, Patrick, Justin Parisi and his wife, Gina, all of Rockport, Jeremy Trainor and his wife, Shannon, of Windham, Maine, and Maren Trainor of Lewiston, Maine; honorary grandsons, Craig Vadala of Peabody and Brent Vadala of Gloucester; great-grandchildren, Delilah Parisi, Abigail and Addison Trainor, Declan, Hayden and Griffin Beaton; honorary great-grandchildren, Dayna and Michael Vadala, both of Peabody, and James Vadala of Gloucester; and a sister-in-law, Santa (Sandra) Parisi of Gloucester.
She was especially loved by her many nieces and nephews and will be missed by special friends, Laura, Mary, Jane, and all of her new friends at Sheedy Park.
