Gloucester, MA — Nina M. (Bouchie) Sears, 70, beloved wife of David A. Sears, of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday evening, June 6, 2012, at the Addison Gilbert Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in Gloucester on June 8, 1941, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Clarke) Bouchie.
Nina was a graduate of St. Ann’s High School. An extremely devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Nina worked hard raising her family, instilling the values of giving of one’s self and devotion to God and church in her children. She was a very faithful member of Our Lady of Good Voyage Church and proud of the annual Crowning festivities.
Nina possessed a very uplifting spirit and even though she struggled for many years with various ailments, she never complained and always remained positive. Conversations with Nina would often turn to her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she cherished. She also enjoyed water and oil paintings and especially enjoyed composing floral art works.
Nina’s love and caring will be greatly missed by her husband and family.
In addition to her husband David, she is survived by her five children, David Sears Jr. and wife Etta of Freemont, N.H. and his son Zachery and Daivd’s former wife Mary (Hinckley) Sears, Annmarie Barr and husband Robert of Gloucester and their children Robert Jr. and wife Krystle, Kristie and Justin, Emma Sauve and husband Joseph Jr. of Gloucester and their children Joseph III, Jessica and Stephanie, Antone Sears and wife Beth of Gloucester and their children Brittany, Ryan, Hannah and Allison, Marc Sears and wife Maggie of Essex and their children Owen, Marc Jr. and Willa; three great grandchildren; her sister Patricia Knowlton and husband David of Gloucester; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Sylvia Fears; and her brothers Albert and Edward Bouchie.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Wednesday, June 13th at 9:30 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
