Beavercreek, OH — Craig S. Golart, Lt. Col, USAF, Ret., 67, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was the husband of Janet (Munro) Golart.
Born in Greensboro, N.C., on March 8, 1946, he was the son of Milton Golart and the late Marjorie (Frost) Golart.
Craig received his B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1969, and his M.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in 1970. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 23 years.
He had 20 years contractor experience with Modern Technologies Company/BAE Systems, then transitioned into Civil Service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Daedalians.
In addition to his wife of 42 years, and his father, he is survived by a son, Aaron Golart of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, and son-in-law, Aimee and Kevin Hartke; two grandsons, Seth and Joshua Hartke of Bellbrook, Ohio; a sister, Carole Golart of Hillsboro, Ore.; an uncle, Ivan Frost of Gloucester; an aunt, Marilyn Ferrant, of Winter Park, Fla.; and niece, Alia Golart of Wilsonville, Ore. In addition to his mother, he was also predeceased his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Frost, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Golart; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. James Frost, Mr. and Mrs. George Frost, Shirley Frost, Janice Burdett, and Betty Ferrant.
ARRANGEMENTS: He will be laid to rest on June 8, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., in the Beechbrook Cemetery, Essex Ave., Route 133, Gloucester. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Memorial Services were held at the Kirkmont Presbyterian Church in Beavercreek, Ohio.
