Beatrice H. (Wallace) Blatchford, 87, died on Thursday, March 22, at the Seacoast Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Dana B. Blatchford.
Mrs.Blatchford was born in Gloucester on May 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice and Lester Wallace.
She was a graduate of Rockport High School and she worked at O'Donnell-Usen/Seafood Kitchens for 38 years.
Mrs.Blatchford enjoyed cooking and going shopping, but most of all she loved being around her family especially on holidays and Sunday lunches.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Jean Sutera and husband Leonard; her son, Dana Blatchford and wife Paula; grandchildren, Lorie Sanfilippo and husband Gus, Jennifer Costanzo and husband Jack, Peter Sutera and wife Trina, Dana Blatchford and wife Elizabeth, Brieann Nunes and husband David; great-grandchildren, Lily Jean and Anthony Sanfilippo, Salvatore and Jack Costanzo, Ryan and Brandon Blatchford, and Cameron Nunes; sisters, Madeline St. Laurent of Peabody and Louise Goodwin of Jamul, California; sister-in-law, Norma Silva of Gloucester and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Lester, Harold, Robert, and Bruce Wallace.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester on Monday, March 26, at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
The burial will be held in Beechbrook Cemetery, Gloucester.
Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home are on Sunday from 5 – 8 p.m.
