Oceanside Cailfornia — Pollyanna Louise Neff passed away Friday morning, August 17, at Silverado Senior Living in Encinitas, California. She had been suffering from Alzheimer’s for several years. She was 86 year old. She was the daughter of William Osborne Amero of Gloucester and Dora Mason Amero of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Amero of Redding, California and is survived by her brothers, George Amero of Gloucester and Richard Amero of Chula Vista, California; her son David Medico of Oceanside, California; and her daughter Sally Medico of Eureka, California.
A graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1943, she had worked over the years as an expediter at Conair Aircraft, an executive secretary at Non-Linear Systems and as a purchasing agent for Fed Mart, California, She was married four times, her third marriage was to David Keating, an MIT graduate and a nuclear physicist. After her husband’s death she moved into gated community in Oceanside, California where she met her fourth husband George Neff, a World War II pilot and the European representative of Hughes Aircraft. She was a member of the Minge Folk Museum in Balboa Park.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends in California and Gloucester.
ARRANGEMENTS: Pursuant to her wishes, she was cremated and her ashes scattered on the Pacific Ocean.
