Shelton W. Warren, 85


Gloucester, MA — Shelton W. Warren, 85, of Gloucester passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Addison Gilbert Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Durham, North Carolina on January 26, 1928, son of the late Lee and Lillie (Mann) Warren.

In 1950, he came to Boston. He became a second son to the late Mr. and Mrs. James D. Ackert and became a brother to James Ackert of Gloucester and to the late David Sawyer.

Mr. Warren was and Electronics Inspector for many years at Raytheon in Waltham and later a Supervisor at Varian, retiring in 1990.

He received an Honorable Discharge from the Massachusetts Air National Guard after 8 ½ years of service.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

ARRANGEMENTS: His Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Wednesday, March 27, at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

There will be no visiting hours and the burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Gloucester.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect St., Gloucester, MA 01930.
