Ronald Paul Strescino, 76, passed away at his home on March 1, 2012 due to a long illness. He was the son of the late Mildred (Dennis) and Joseph Strescino and the husband of Sally (Horton) Strescino.
Ronny worked many jobs in Gloucester, MA before he and his wife moved to the Myrtle Beach area. After a couple months of retirement, they purchased and operated a restaurant and lounge named "Mustang Sally's in Little River, SC. When he first became sick, the restaurant was sold and he went back into retirement. Ronny began painting - he loved sitting in the garage painting ceramics and talking to his neighbors as they walked by. He fought a long battle with cancer without any real complaints. He also served his country as a US Marine during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He loved life and was a fantastic husband.
He is survived by his wife, Sally, one daughter, Donna Sue and husband Dedrick Clark of NC, four sons, Ronald of FL, Douglas Dukette, Philip and wife Michelle Dukette, Michael Dukette and fiance', Jeanette Adams, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two aunts, Jennie Noble, a special lady, Aunt Lucia McLaughlin and one uncle, William Strescino, all of MA. He was preceded in death by his very special granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Kidd.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be a celebration of his life on March 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Zoomers, formally called Oasis, on Route 9 in Longs, SC. Everyone is welcome.
