Sarah Cefalo


Gloucester — Sarah Villella Cefalo, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2013, at her home in Jupiter, Fla. with her family by her side.

Sarah was born September 23, 1914 in Everett, to Mary and Peter Villella. She married Frank Cefalo in 1937 in East Boston. They were happily married for 67 years.

Sarah had a loving and generous heart, and was a devoted wife and adoring grandmother. She was a passionate cook who found great joy in cooking Italian feasts for her family.

She leaves behind her daughter, Loretta Cefalo Mineo and her husband, Michael of Tequesta, Fla. and Gloucester; son, Frank Cefalo of Gloucester. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Lauren Mineo of Winchester, Michelle Mineo Sanchez and her husband, Anthony of Hamilton, Frank Cefalo and his partner, Rob, of New York City and Stephen Cefalo and his wife, Maureen of Gloucester; six great-grandchildren, A.J. Sanchez, Samantha Sanchez, Rae Sanchez, Danielle Tse, Adrianne Tse, and Cameron Cefalo. She is predeceased by her husband Frank Cefalo and daughter-in-law Phyllis Cefalo.
