FORT LEE, NJ — Alexander C. “Mickey” Begg, III, 52, formerly of Essex and Epping, N.H., died August 16, following a brief illness. He was the husband of Dr. Roxana Cuculescu-Begg.
Born in Gloucester on November 1, 1959, he was the son of Carol (Barnes) Begg-Martell and the late Alexander C. Begg, Jr. He attended the Essex Elementary School and was a graduate of Epping High School and Keene State College. He was vice president of purchasing for Knight Capital Group in Jersey City, New Jersey.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves two daughters, Dr. Oana deVink-Baroody, wife of Rev. Sami Baroody and Lara Begg; his sister, Pamala Begg-DiGiovanni, wife of the late Bill DiGiovanni, stepsisters, Maryellen, wife of Bill Bannister and Sandra Martell; his in-laws, TiTi and Valy Stancu; brother-in-law, Costin Stancu; sister-in-law, Ioana Stancu; aunts and uncles, Barbara Agostini, Marjie Carlson, Donnie Barnes, Dot Barnes, Dick and Dianne Begg and Jean and John Mulcahy; one niece and three nephews, as well as many cousins and their children.
ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held on Sunday, September 9 at the Gloucester Fraternity Club, 27 Webster Street, Gloucester from 12 – 3 p.m., with special readings and remembrances at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
