Thomas P. Pallazola, 83


Gloucester, MA — Thomas P. Pallazola, 83, of Gloucester, husband of Grace (Aiello) Pallazola, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Gloucester on October 7, 1929, son of the late Anthony and Fransesca (Aiello) Pallazola.

Thomas was a graduate of Gloucester High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He was employed for over 30 years at Sears as an appliance mechanic serving all of Cape Ann. He was a former member of the Capt. Lester S. Wass Post #3, Gloucester American Legion.

Thomas enjoyed blueberry picking, woodworking, playing chess, working in his garden and spending time with his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Pallazola is survived by his wife, Grace; his children, Frances Simon and her husband, Paul, Maria Grillo and her husband, Joseph, and Anthony Pallazola and his wife, Amy; grandchildren, Grace Marie Lafond, Michelle Deppen and her husband, Geoff, Amanda Lafond and her fiancé, Greg Chiancola, Paul Simon Jr. and his wife, Kristina, Lesa Grillo and her fiancé, Mike Marinaro, Stephanie Hendricks and her husband, John, Joseph Grillo Jr., Julia Pallazola, Maya Pallazola; great-grandchildren, Jakob, Hannah, Elizabeth, Jasmine, Alyssa, Braydon, Joshua, Lilly and Sophia; a sister, Sally Caron; a brother, Jerome Palazola and his wife, Marie; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jenny Palazola, Pauline Piscitello, Jennie Curcuru, Adriana Aiello, Rose Demetri, Salvatore Aiello and his wife, Rose; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Pallazola was predeceased by six brothers, Gasper Palazola and his wife, Antoinette, Jerry Palazola and his wife, Mary, Joseph Palazola and his wife, Rose, Frank Palazola, Anthony Palazola and his wife, Jean, Sophie Palazola and his wife, Celeste; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Antoinette Militello and her husband, Frank, John Aiello and his wife, Lena, Anthony Aiello, Joseph Piscitello and Salvatore Demetri.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Holy Family Parish, on Saturday, July 6, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited.

The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. There will be no visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis TN 38101.
