Gloucester, MA — Ileen A. Graham (Burns), 67, of Gloucester, Mass., passed peacefully at her residence on the afternoon of July 14, 2013, after a long illness. Ileen worked to organize the opening of the Visitors Center at Stage Fort Park, the Maritime Heritage trail, The Pride Stride and more. She loved being involved in community actions from her time on the PTO to saving Cape Ann’s vernal pools, and touched the lives of many in the process. She briefly wrote a column on East Gloucester for the Times. Ileen is survived by her sister, Sherrill (Burns) Graham; brother, Thomas Burns; her son, Jared Graham; her two grandsons, Nicholas and Avery; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was loved and her vibrant spirit will be missed. Ileen requested that there be no formal services. The family requests you may honor her life and love of Gloucester by visiting and enjoying the history of the town. Donations can be made, if you wish, to Gloucester based non-profit organizations.
