Rockport — Peter F. Vincent, 66, local artist, died unexpectedly Monday, August 27, 2012 at his home in Rockport.
Born in Stamford, Connecticut on April 8, 1946, he was the Son of the late Kenneth T. and Elizabeth (Mullen) Vincent. He had resided in Riverside, Connecticut for many years before moving to Rockport in 1958.
Peter was a freelance artist specializing in marine painting. He was a graduate of the New England School of Art and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He was a member of the American Society of Marine Artist and the Rockport Art Association. As a member of the Sandy Bay Yacht Club, he enjoyed sailing.
He is survived by his Sister Mary Ann Hanna and her Husband Robert of Leominster, several nieces and nephews including Eoin M. Vincent of Rockport. He was also predeceased by three Brothers, Thomas M. Vincent, Kenneth T. Vincent, Jr. and David P. Vincent.
ARRANGEMENTS: All are invited to a Memorial Service on Sept. 15th at 2:00 PM, at the First Congregational Church, UCC (“The Old Sloop”), 12 School St., Rockport. There are no visiting hours. Gifts in his memory may be made to the Rockport Housing Authority, c/o Claudia Kearns, 13 Millbrook Park, Rockport, MA 01966. Interment will be private.
