Hampton, NH — John R. DeMilia, 70, of Hampton, NH, formerly of Cambridge, husband of the late Barbara J. (Yuhola) DeMilia, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, NH.
He was born and raised in Cambridge and attended Cambridge Public Schools. He was the son of the late Anthony and Amy (Mackey) DeMilia.
John served his country in the United States Air Force.
John was employed for several years at Cambridge Port in Salisbury, MA as a machinist.
He will be lovingly remembered as a great cook, for his wonderful sense of humor, his robust laugh, comical stories and generous nature.
He is survived by his son, Anthony J. “Tony” DeMilia of Salisbury, MA; his sister, Judy Micozzi and her husband Vinny of Cambridge; his brother, Peter W. DeMilia of Beverly; his sister-in-law, Audrey DeMilia of Rockport; nieces and nephews, Betsy Manzelli of Hamilton, James DeMilia of Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, Kathy DeMilia and Traci Budrow both of Rockport, Debby Aquaro of Haverhill, Kelly Hobbs of Beverly, Trisha Merritt of Raleigh, NC, Albert-Michael Micozzi of Scottsdale, AZ and Amy Elizabeth Micozzi of Watertown, MA and several grandnieces and grand nephews; his dear friend, Judy Raymond of Hampton, NH and her children, Sherry and Robert Ortiz, Eric and Kathleen Raymond and Roderick Raymond and grandchildren all of NH.
He was predeceased by his brother, James M. DeMilia.
ARRANGEMENTS: In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral services and the burial will be held privately.
