Gloucester — Frank D. Ciaramitaro, 77, husband of Agatha (Eremita) Ciaramitaro, of Gloucester, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Golden Living Center. Born in Gloucester on April 6, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Ventimiglia) Ciaramitaro.
For many years, Frank had worked on the waterfront at Ocean Crest Seafoods. He later had moved to Scottsdale, Ariz. and had worked as a security guard at the Arizona State House.
Frank was known as a very fun loving man. He enjoyed traveling on cruise ships. One of his favorite pastimes was listening to music, especially playing Italian operas at his home on Sundays. He worked hard to support his family and cherished having the company of his children and grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his wife Agatha, he is survived by his son, Joseph Ciaramitaro and wife Diane Silva; his daughter, Janine McGovern; grandchildren, Theresa Canning and husband Corey, John Ciaramitaro and fiancé Shelly VanSanford, Darcy Didion and husband Roy, Nadine Gallagher and husband Glenn; great-grandchildren, Kevin, Cameron and Ashton Didion, Isabella and Nicholas Canning, Alba Gallagher; his brother, Salvatore Ciaramitaro and wife Grace; his sister, Jennie Favazza and her late husband Jack. He was predeceased by his brother, Leo Ciaramitaro; and son-in-law, Charles McGovern.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
