Bruno Modica, 76


Sun City Center, Florida — passed away on Tuesday, December 11th, in Sun City Center, FL. from complications of Parkinson's Disease. He was born on January 1st, 1936 in Genoa, Italy and moved to the United States with his parents and his sister in 1951.

He was a graduate of Gloucester (MA) High School and of Brown University, where he was captain of the fencing team and editor of the literary magazine.

He received a graduate degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Business in Phoenix, AZ in 1961. Bruno had a long and successful career in corporate management in the United States, Italy, France, and Japan.

He was a lifelong soccer fan, an avid skier and sailor, and in retirement became an enthusiastic painter and photographer.

Bruno is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane; his sister, Milena, of Mercer Island, WA.; two sons, Robert, of Fayence, France, and Michael, of Ridgefield, CT.; two daughters, Gina, of Greenwich, CT., and Diana, of Palo Alto, CA., and ten grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission, 16650 US Highway 301 S, Wimauma, FL, on Friday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you remember Bruno by making a donation to the charity of your choice.
