Gloucester, MA — Paul J. Ciluffo, 71, of Gloucester, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Gloucester on October 30, 1941, son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Pallazola) Ciluffo. Paul attended Gloucester High School.
Paul fished for over 40 years, aboard many fishing vessels out of Gloucester including the “St. Providenza” and “Cigar Joe”. He enjoyed walking the boulevard, politics, religion and also doing crossword puzzles. Paul was a man of faith and believed in the Lord. He also was a member of the St. Peter’s Club. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Joseph J. Ciluffo and Deborah M. Ciluffo both Gloucester; two grandchildren, Alisha R. Gomes and Noah Joseph Ciluffo both of Gloucester; his brother, Joseph P. Ciluffo of Gloucester; his sister, Lucy Reed of Lawrence; his former wife, Betty (Ciluffo) Allen of Oswego, NY; his step-daughters, Genel Ciluffo of Essex and Deanna (Ciluffo) Dupont of Gloucester; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Holy Family Parish on Thursday, March 21, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There will be no visiting hours and the burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, c/o Deborah Ciluffo, P.O. Box 764, Essex, MA 01929.
