Gloucester — Lynn M. Grover, 59, of Worcester, formerly of Rockport, a Massachusetts registered nurse, passed away Saturday August 18 in her sleep after suffering a pulmonary embolism.
Lynn was born in Gloucester, a daughter of Edward F. and Jeanne (Caffrey) Grover, Jr. She grew up in Rockport, graduated from Rockport High School in 1971,
earned her nursing degree from Worcester State College in 1987 and her Master's degree from Anna Maria College in 1991 and has lived in Worcester since her college days.
Lynn is survived by her sister, Gail A. Jenner and her husband Peter of Gloucester; two brothers, Brian Grover and his wife, Pam, of Mt Home, Ark. and Neal Grover of Rockport; a cousin whom she thought of as a sister,
Beverly Saunders and her spouse, Jill Gerrard; a special cousin, Carolyn Grover Tarbox; five nieces and nephews; eight grand nieces and nephews; and many other extended family members and friends. Her nephews and nieces include; Frank Johnson, his wife Susan, their children Chloe, Olivia and Eli; Craig Johnson, his wife Gayle, their children, Alexandra and Lucas; Kristi Elsberry, her husband Brandon, their children, Connor and Emma; Bobby Orr; Shawn Orr, his wife, Dawn, and their child Zackary. They meant the world to her, as well as many others who called her "Auntie Lynn".
Lynn was presently a nurse for the Overlook Visiting Nurse and Hospice Association. She previously worked for the VNA Care Hospice for five years.
Lynn loved the care she could provide to the patients and their families.
She loved to travel, cruises to the Caribbean, and lying on the beach.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22 at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St Worcester. Friends and family may remember Lynn from 12 to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
