Gloria A. “Honey” (Catalini) McCormack, 77, of Gloucester, wife of the late Robert McCormack, passed away on Thursday evening, April 19, 2012, in her home, with her family by her side.

Gloria was born in Gloucester, on March 20, 1935, the daughter of the late Basil and Edna R. (Thomas) Catalini.

She attended and graduated from Gloucester High School with the Class of 1953.

Honey was a very strong woman. She and Bob raised their children, while she suffered with kidney disease for 16 years and the effects of dialysis. She finally became a kidney recipient 18 years ago and had a new lease on life.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and mom to many. She cherished the babysitting, with as many as 6 grandchildren at a time. Honey loved baking and cooking for family and friends. She especially enjoyed working with three generations of family, making homemade raviolis.

Honey is survived by her children, Robert McCormack Jr. and his wife Tina, of Gloucester, Dennis McCormack and his wife Debbie, of Newton, NH, Kathy Hines and her husband Steve, of Chester, NH, Jayne Riley of Gloucester; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth and Olivia McCormack of Gloucester, Melissa and Courtney McCormack of Newton, NH, Lindsay and Rebecca Hines of Chester, NH, Patrick and James Riley of Gloucester; sisters, Shirley Edmonds and her husband Whitey and Daisy Oliver, all of Gloucester, Natalie Roeder of Nashua, NH, Nancy Bateman and her husband, Bruce of MA and brother, Bobby Catalini and his wife Barb, of Gloucester,

ARRANGEMENTS: There are no visiting hours.

Her graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 9:30 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are cordially invited.
