Kathy Valianti McFarland, 81


Magnolia and Marlboro — Kathy McFarland died peacefully on October 12 at the home of her loving daughter, Kathlyn Valianti and grandaughter Katie Valianti Collins of Magnolia.

She was the wife of Rufus "Mac" McFarland for many years and formerly married to the father of her ten children, the late Frank J. Valianti, both also of Marlboro.

Kathy came to live in Gloucester one year ago. She lived in Marlboro for 80 years and leaves behind many wonderful friends and relatives.

Besides her husband, she leaves ten loving children and their spouses and her special 13 grandchildren, as well as the loving dogs, Sally and Taco Bella.

Visiting hours, Friday, October 19 from 4-8 p.m. at William Short and Son Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlboro. A funeral Mass Saturday October 20 at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlboro.
