Gloucester — Mary A. (Giaclone) Favaloro, 87, of Gloucester, beloved wife of the late Serafino J. Favaloro, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Ledgewood Rehabilitation Center in Beverly following a brief illness.
She was born in Gloucester on June 7, 1925, daughter of the late Vito and Jennie (Militello) Giaclone. She was a life-long resident of Gloucester and had attended St. Ann’s School.
Mary married Serafino in 1946 and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Mary was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Voyage Church and a member of the Mother of Grace Club.
She was the beloved and devoted mother to her daughter, Josephine Wentzell of Gloucester; granddaughters, Annemarie Wentzell and Kathleen Clifford and her husband Barry of Gloucester and “Nona” to three great-grandsons, James Palazzola and Cody and Kyle Clifford, all of Gloucester.
She is also survived by her inseparable sisters, Catherine Fontana, Pearl Ciluffo both of Gloucester and Grace Cianciolo and her husband Alfred of Connecticut; her devoted brother and his wife, Joseph and Marie Giacalone of Gloucester and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Sister Rosita Giacalone, Antoinette Piscitello and Lena T. Aiello.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Saturday, October 20, at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
There will be no visiting hours.
The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
