Gloucester, MA — Helen (Schred) Marnoy, 97, of Gloucester, entered into rest Sunday afternoon, May 12, 2013, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Barnett Marnoy. She was born in Gloucester, daughter of the late Benjamin and Dora (Silk) Schred. Helen was a graduate of Gloucester High School.
Helen and her husband ran Schred’s Fabric Store for many years and she was a member of Congregation Ahavat Achim in Gloucester for many years.
Helen was the youngest of her three siblings, the late Jean Schred, the late Louis Schred and the late Reva Kramer, wife of the late Robert Kramer. She is survived by her niece, Joan Edelman and her husband, Lester of Falls Church, Va., and also by Ellen Weber, Benjamin Edelman, Rachel Weber, Rebecca Weber, Miabeth Gorodetzer-Edelman and Dylan Abraham and Gail Landau and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services at Mount Jacob Cemetery, 96 Fernald Street, Gloucester will be held today at 11 a.m. Following interment, the family will be greeting relatives and friends at her late residence until sundown.
