Patricia A. Shea, 80

Gloucester — Patricia Ann (McKay) Shea, 80, wife of the late Russell Shea, of Gloucester, passed away on Monday evening, November 12, 2012, at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Gloucester on May 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Thomas) McKay.

Patricia was a graduate of Gloucester High School with the Class of 1950. She had worked as a Central Supply Technician at Addison Gilbert Hospital for many years.

In her spare time, Patricia loved to work in ceramics and was a member of the Cape Ann Bowling League. She loved attending family events, family vacations, and Sunday dinners at her niece, Cheryl Keating's house.

She is survived by her brother, David McKay and wife Natalie of Gloucester; sister-in -law, Helen Porper of Gloucester; devoted niece, Cheryl Keating and husband Kirk of Rockport; nieces, Marion Parsons and husband Robert “Wimpy”, Carol Jean Rowley, Debbie Lanphear and husband William; nephews, Angelo Bertolino "Skip" and wife Marguerite of Gloucester, David Porper, Peter Porper and wife Diane, William Porper and wife Marianne, Richard Porper and wife Chris, Karlton Rowley Jr., William Butcher, Md., Bruce Porper and wife Jill, Michael Porper; and many great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Russell, she was predeceased by her brothers, William Porper and wife Freda, Russell Porper and wife Leonora, Robert Porper; her sisters, Carolyn Bertolino, Laura Porper Butcher and husband, Dorothy Rowley and husband Karl.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church on Monday, November 19 at 10 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.

Visiting hours will precede the mass on Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.

The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Day by Day Adult Care Center, 4 Blackburn Center, Gloucester, MA 01930.
