Barbara Lane, 61


MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Barbara Lane, 61, beloved wife of Charles Lane, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage, passed away Monday, February 18 at the Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida. Born in Rockville Center, NY she is the daughter of Robert and Gertrude Finlay.

Barbara grew up in Manchester and was a graduate of Manchester High School. She also attended and graduated from Marion Court College. Barbara began her career working for the Federal Highway Administration in Boston and spent many years employed by the Town of Manchester. She was an avid golfer, a lover of the beach, reading and exercising, and Barbara was loving retirement.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Allison Krause and her husband Joshua of Manchester, Bethany Lane of Boston and Andrew Lane of Manchester; three siblings: Jacqueline Finlay of Severn, MD, James Finlay and his wife Mary of Lexington and her twin brother Bruce Finlay and his wife Linda of Gloucester, and her grand dog Putter.

ARRANGEMENTS: At the request of the family, services for Barbara are going to be held privately.
