Sun Lakes, AZ — Lawrence A. Nicolosi (Larry) of Sun Lakes, Ariz., formerly of Gloucester, Mass., passed away peacefully on April 22, 2013.
Larry was born to Lawrence and Harriet Nicolosi in September 1939. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School, 1957, and The New England School of Art, 1963. He married Eleanor Bartolotta in July 1963 and lived a fulfilling life as a parent of two daughters, a vocational school teacher, and couture designer of bridal and women's fashions in the Magnolia and Manchester, Mass., area until he and Eleanor retired to Arizona in 2000. After moving to Arizona, he became an adjunct professor of fashion arts at Mesa Community College for several years.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in MA and the Italian-American Club and Oakwood Country Club's Dance Club in Arizona.
Larry is survived by his wife, Eleanor; daughters, Mariangela, wife of Christopher Noyes, and Silvana, wife of Matthew Stoll; granddaughters, Adrienne Noyes, Emma Stoll and Eleanor Stoll; his siblings, Robert Nicolosi and his wife, Nancy, Judith Prodanas and her husband, Stephen, and John Nicolosi and his wife, Immie; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand and great-nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial Mass will be held at St. Steven's Catholic Church in Sun Lakes, Ariz., followed by a celebration of life luncheon at Oakwood Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Larry's memory to Hospice Family Care of Arizona, The Parkinson Foundation or a charity of your choice.
