ROCKPORT — Lucille A. (Schomber) Chick, 85, of Rockport, wife of the late John E. Chick, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at the Kaplan House with her family by her side.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1926 in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of the late Virgil and Evelyn (Anderson) Schomber.
She was a kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her most cherished memories were those spent caring for her family.
She was the beloved mother of son, Peter J. Chick and wife Peggy of Rockport and two daughters, Darlene A. Spittle and husband Richard of Weeki Wachee, Fla., and Beth and Michael Tripp of Groton. She was a loving nana to Lauree Cameron Eckler and husband Brad of Carlisle, Kimberly Cameron Tibert and husband Robert of Rockport, Timothy O'Brien and wife Natalia of Beverly, Kaetlyn O'Brien of Medford, and Sean and Derek Tripp of Littleton. She was a caring great-grandmother to Ashley, Lindsey, Bobby, Cameron, Caden, Matthew, Caroline Tibert, Lyndsey, Isabella, Sophia, Lucia Eckler, Michael, Kaetlyn and Natasha O'Brien and a great-great-grandmother to Tyler LeClaire.
She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Arthur.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service and burial will be held privately.
