Gloucester, MA — Arlene A. (Cecilio) Muise, 64, of Gloucester, passed away on Monday morning, November 12, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Gloucester on June 22, 1948, she was the daughter of Arlene (Quadros) Cecilio of Gloucester and the late Capt. Joseph Cecilio.
Arlene was a graduate of St. Ann’s School with the Class of 1966 and had served as her class secretary. As a young lady, she had worked as an accountant at Gloucester Engineering and later worked at LePages for many years. Most recently, Arlene was providing home health care for Hospice patients.
Arlene worked hard raising her children and in her spare time she enjoyed swimming at the YMCA. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Voyage Church Guild where she was a Past President and was a member of the DES Club.
Arlene was a very loving and caring woman who gave of herself her whole life. She adored her children and grandchildren and loved having them over to play in her yard. She enjoyed having her family over for Saturday night supper and spending every holiday at her home with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
In addition to her mother, Arlene, she is survived by her children, Kelly Francis and husband Paul, Darlene Piscitello and husband Charles, all of Gloucester, Amanda Osier and husband Lawrence of Rockport, Dana R. Muise II, Jonathan Muise, all of Gloucester; grandchildren, Kelsey Francis, Isabella and Devin Piscitello, Alexa and Talia Osier; her brother, Joseph Cecilio and wife Jean of Beverly; sisters, Diane Pallazola and husband Robert of Cape Coral, Fla., Jo-Ann Cecilio and husband John Nixon of Gloucester; and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Keri Ann Muise; and her brother John Cecilio.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral mass will be held in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church on Thursday, November 15 at 9:30 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
