MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Thomas Patrick Corliss Sr., 79, died peacefully Monday, October 21, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Gloucester, MA on July 17, 1934, he was the son of the late Anna T. (Bolger) O’Brien and Stanley Corliss. He attended Gloucester Public Schools and served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Manchester American Legion Post 113.
“Pat,” as he was so well known, worked for the Manchester Electric Company for 25 years, then Mass Electric for 15 years.
Pat is survived by his beloved children, Marianne Corliss of Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA and Thomas Patrick Corliss, Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Danvers, MA; four grandchildren, Christina Frances Cantore of Providence, RI, Loren Joseph Cantore of Keene, NH, Thomas Patrick Corliss, III and Heather Anne Corliss, both of Danvers, MA, as well as two nephews, Michael Conlon and his wife, Cheryl, of West Roxbury, MA, Dennis Conlon and his wife, Debbie, of Middleton, MA, and their two sons, Zak and Max.
Pat was predeceased in death by his wife of 54 years, Joanne Marie Corliss, as well as a brother, Ted; a sister, Barbara and her husband, James Conlon, and their son, Jimmy Conlon.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 62 School St., Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA; on Monday, October 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be no visiting hours and burial will be private. Arrangements by the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly.
