Gloucester, MA — Douglass Robinson, 63, beloved husband of Karen R. (Clinton) Robinson, of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 21, 2013, at the Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Born in Gloucester on March 12, 1950, he was the son of Gillian (Douglass) Robinson of Gloucester and the late John Robinson.
Doug was a graduate of Gloucester High School with the Class of 1967.
For over 30 years, he had worked as a machinist for PMS Manufacturing.
Doug enjoyed boating around Cape Ann and, in his younger days, enjoyed golfing and was a former member of Bass Rocks Golf Club. He was very intelligent and had a talent for completing crossword puzzles as a pastime. Above all, Doug was an extremely devoted family man and held dear the time he had with his family.
In addition to his wife, Karen, and mother, Gillian, he is survived by his two daughters, Lynne Robinson and her companion, Dan Medeiros, and her sons, Michael and Jack Medeiros, Lisa Robinson and her companion, Jesse Medeiros; his brother, John Robinson of Rockport; his sister, Kathy Chaney and husband, Craig, of Gloucester; nieces, Megan and Maria Chaney; nephew, Dylan Chaney; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
In addition to his father, John, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Rena C. Clinton.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be held privately by the family.
