GLOUCESTER — Natale C. Misuraca, 93, husband of the late Antoinette (Frontiero) Misuraca, of Gloucester, died on Monday, November 28, 2011.
Natale was born in Boston on March 2, 1918, son of the late Gaetano and Jenny Misuraca. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and fought in several major campaigns including the Battle of Anzio in 1944. He was a loyal member of the Capt. Lester S. Wass Post 3 Gloucester American Legion for 64 years. Natale was a fisherman for many years and later sold fish from his own truck throughout the community.
He is survived by his four children, Thomas Misuraca, Joanne Randazza and husband John, Joseph Misuraca and wife Paula, John Misuraca and wife Sandi; grandchildren, Marc Randazza and wife Jennifer, Teresa Sheedy and husband David, Eli, Nathan and David Misuraca, Janelle Randazza, Ann Marie and Adam Stackhouse, Jennifer and fiance Chris Duston, Brian and Amanda Misuraca, Rachel Misuraca; seven great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mary Parisi, Grace Favazza, Cathy Wallius; his brothers Sam, Tom and John Misuraca; and nephew Tom Misuraca, son of his late brother Vito, with whom he had a special relationship. In addition to his loving wife Antionette, he was predeceased by his brothers Vito and Joseph; and his sisters Helen Misuraca and Vincie Vairella.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Saturday, December 3rd at 9:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Ann's Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
